Sherie's Story
Life
My husband, Paul and I met in1992 and we were married in 1995. We have two boys, Chase (8) and Carter (2). Carter was our surprise! I have battled ovarian/cervical cancer and endrometriosis since I was 21, so we were told we would never have kids--and now we have two! Paul and I still live in St. Louis (Wildwood/West county). I teach 8th grade science for Parkway West Middle School and absolutley love my job, so staying home is not an option
for me. Teaching also works well with this ADHD adult! But if you remember my mom, she loves babies. So my parents watch my boys while I teach. My mom was so disappointed to think that Chase might be her only grandbaby, so she says, God gave us Carter just for her!
Chase is finishing 2nd grade and will make his First Communion at the end of April. With our boys being so far apart we don't feel like we are rushing all over, just Carter has to go where ever Chase is going! :) It is amazing how much Carter adores his older brother and how great Chase it with him :)
Our weekends are full of soccer games, as Chase plays year round for Busch soccer league. I have been told I fit the "west county soccer mom" mold?!?! --but I refuse to drive a minivan, just an SUV. We really enjoy our house, parties, neighbors, and vacations. Paul ...Expand for more
is big on vacations! He gets the "itch" at least 2/3 times a year! We have to plan them around our school holidays and breaks, though.
Paul and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary and have a great relationship. I feel so blessed! He is the catalysts (buisness owner) and I am the organizer, so we make a great team. Paul says we are the "yin/yang" of couples. Paul enjoys running and trains for tri-althelons. I have become a "power-walker", as these old legs can't take the running anymore. It also works well with a baby in a stroller and a dalmation who needs excercise too!
I feel like I haven't changed much, still easy going and happy. I think I look the same, same height/weight, but just a lot more wrinkles (laugh lines) and gray hairs. I have managed to get my curly hair under control, but still can't hide the freckles. It is a good thing that my freckles are what Paul likes the most about my appearance.
As I help Cheryl find people and plan/organize our reunion, I hope I to get to talk to a lot of you before July. So don't hesitate to write me a note! If you know someone who has not responded to our renion invitation, please encourage them to do so or send the info to Cheryl or myself.
Can't wait to see each of you!!
