Sherry's Story
Life
I have been blessed with an exceptional husband, 4 wonderful sons, 4 gorgeous daughters-in-law, and 4 lovely grandchildren (and counting!). I am a cancer survivor (14 years now!) and am hanging around much longer than I expected. I am thankful for my family, my home, my friends, my church, and the support of co-workers, too. There are too many blessings to count!
College
Loved college - San Jose State University, wonderful and fun room-mates, but wish I could say the education trained me for my career - not so. Learned much through life and work experience, and am thankful for that realistic basis. Also graduated University of Minnes...Expand for more
ota, School of Public Health - loved Minnesota, loved the school, and many wonderful friends in the Midwest. My only regret - while I completed my Master's degree, didn't complete a doctoral degree - maybe there is still time!
Workplace
I have been in healthcare or mental health care for my entire career. I have been fortunate to have good positions, good bosses, and good employees! I am administrator for operations for my division and feel that I am just not (yet!) ready to retire. I love working with our consumers (mental health clients) and the thing that I least like is dreadful paperwork! I would rather create and interact with people!
