I married Mike Trader 2 wks. after graduation. We split up in 1978. I married again in 1980. He was a wonderful man - John E. ('Jet') Trudeau. I lost him to a heart attack November 28, 2000. In 2004, I relocated to Colorado (where Jim lives) where I met and married Bob Martin in 2005. My 'career' in mortage banking lasted from 1978-1992. I returned to college parttime for several years when my son arrived in 1992. He came to us through adoption. I am blessed to have a relationship with his birthmother who allowed me to be present at his birth. He was only 24 hours old when we brought him home! He's 17 now and is my joy! Six months after Jet's death in 2000, I finally graduated with my Bachelor's degree and began teaching. In June 2002, I had what was termed as a 'poor surgical outcome' following a hysterectomy. So poor, in fact, that I nearly died and was in a coma for 9 days, hospitalized for 2 months and out of work for a year! It was a result of a surgical error that was deemed a risk of the procedure.
