School
I learned to love US History when Mike Necessary started teaching it. I hadn't really had much interest in it until then, but he made it fun and I learned a lot. Of course, Mr. Jordan has to be a favorite of mine...at least he didn't flunk me in driver's ed when I sideswiped a curb in Anderson while trying to turn the corner. Sure am glad they had insurance to fix that scraped rear door. And Mrs. Dunn was my favorite English teacher!
Workplace

r the past 20 years now in grades 5 and 6 mostly, but most recently in grades 3 and 4. (Currently 3). I have also taught summer school several years in grades 1, 2, 3, 5, 7. Let me tell you that teaching math to 7th graders going into 8th grade was not my best teaching experience. I have also kept the scorebook for the girls' and boys' basketball teams at the elementary and middle school levels. Our 7/8 grade girls' team just won the city championship two weeks ago. It's been a long time coming and I was really happy for our coach! I was fortunate enough to have been named Teacher of the Year at my school last year. I am planning to attend this year's ceremony to support this year's recipient.
