Sherrie's Story
Workplace
After leaving high school I worked at the Colonial House Restaurant in Oxnard for a while. Then went to Arlington, Texas and attended Hotel and Restaurant Mgmt. school at Northwood Institute. I became the restaurant bookkeeper for Steak & Ale Restaurant, Arlington, then moved to Richardson, Texas to open a new restaurant with two managers from Steak & Ale.

Finally returned to Ventura in 1981, went to work for Tony's Steak & Seafood, and worked there full and part-time in the office until 1995.
I then went to work for Hercules Dist., Ltd., a property mgmt. co. in Ventura, and stayed there in office manager capacity until April of 2007.
In July of 2007 started up my own business of Patio & Balcony Garden Care and Design. Specializing in small garden design, care of patio and balcony plants for retirees and seniors and people on vacation.
