Sherrie's Story
It's been a lot of years but I would love to know how everyone I went to school with is doing. I was Sherrie Harmon in school, my parents owned the Harmon's Market on the corner of Morning Drive and Breakenridge Rd. my friends and i used to climb the tree out back of the store and eat penny candy my Dad would let us have. i remember a few names like Dare Stinments, Tim Hoss, Valorie May, Steven Dodd, Sandra Begg, Murna Welch. Pam Tremble, Vickie, Mark and more. Sure would be great to find a few friends from the past. I only got to go to Foothill for a little while but would have graduated in 1974. Instead I left school and got married, had two boys, Greg and Phil, compleated highschool and then got a devorice. I now live in Yreka Ca. way up on the Oregon border and have an adopted daughter, 8 grandsons, 1 grandaughter, and 1 great grandson. ip and now I am working my dream job. I get to help people and play with kids and get paid for it, what could be better. I am a Personal Services Coordinator for the Mental Health Services Act in a Community Resource Center. Now that is a mouth full for sure. Basically I help people get a better quality of life. It is very rewarding. Life up here is so different than living in Kern County. The air quality is so pure, except when the fires are burning, this year is a bad one so far. I love all the trees and mountains surounding this area. I have fallen in love with Mt. Shasta, I even learned to ski, which was never something I did when in the Valley. I really hope to hear from the girls and guys I went to Edison Elementry with. There were a bunch of us that went all the way through from Kendergarden and graduated 8th grade together.
