Attended and graduated from Lanier HS for 7-12 in Austin. Graduated in 1969 from Lanier. My favorite classes were in science and history. I loved my physics class and the teacher - Mrs. Hansen - was truly outstanding. I really liked being a member of the Vikettes and wished we had been able to continue as seniors. I also wish the girls had been able to compete in athletics like the smaller towns in Texas. I hated half-court basketball and I also hated that we only competed once a year with other schools in Austin in things like basketball and volleyball. I am really glad that Title IX came along in 1972 for girls athletics.
