Sherrie's Story
Life
After graduation I have worked primarily as a legal secretary. In 1982 I married Jim Tallman (class of 1975). In 1984 we moved to Everett, WA, which is north of Seattle. We have two great kids, Trent (grad. 2002) and Shannon (2006). Jim owns a small construction company, and I work for a large law firm in the Employee Benefits practice group. About 5 years ago I developed an interest in Irish music and dancing - both Shannon and I take classes, and have made many wonderful friends in the Irish dancing community. Shannon competes in Irish step-dancing (yes, like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance) and has done very well. In fact, I've promised the two...Expand for more
of us a trip to Ireland when she graduates - although we're hoping she qualifies to compete in the World competitions before then. We travel throughout the NW attending competitions and have a great time on our many adventures! We currently have 2 dogs, one of which is a young Siberian Husky that I am having a lot of fun training (seriously!). Through my many years in the Amity 4-H Club, I developed a love of working with animals. If I were to choose a new career (and I'm seriously considering doing that once my kids are out of college), it would involve either photography, plants, Celtic arts, or animals. Hmmm, is there any way I can combine them all....
