Sherrille's Story
Life
You remember me as Sherri Bailey. After HS I attended Stetson and earned a BA in Political Science (what else??). From there I went to Stetson Law School where I was the Articles Editor for the law review. I graduated with my law degree and was admitted to practice law in 1989. By this time, despite my shortcomings in high school and college math, I was rather taken by tax law, so I continued my education at the University of Florida where I received my Master of Laws in Taxation and met my husband, Dain. After that, I ended up in Washington DC for a few years clerking for a federal tax judge and finally moved to Columbus Ohio where Dain and I now live. We have two children, Elizabeth and Alex. ded that I wasn't a banker and missed the satisfaction of practicing law. So, I quit after two years and opened my own law office a few miles from my house. Solo/small firm practice has been tough and the hardest job I have ever had, but it has allowed me to be with my kids when they need me. I have been doing this now for eight years and we're still going. I was certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law last year. My husband, Dain, joined the practice as a business law/debtor's rights attorney in 2007. I am active with my church, the First Baptist Church of Westerville and am busy with my kids school (Worthington Christian High School/Middle School). Both Alex and Liz row for Westerville Crew. I don't get back to DeLand too often and would like to hear from friends in the midwest.
