Sherry's Story
Life
After 28 years of marriage, I divorced in 1998, met a great guy who had just recently retired from the Michigan State Police, (you all will not believe this but I met him online!) We married in 2000, moved to Middle Tenn. to a resort golf community, he plays golf all the time and I still work full time, he does the housework and dog sits LOL! Really he does! I have not managed to teach him to cook yet, but maybe thats for the best!
My Pets
I love Dashounds.....what more can I say.... they are the greatest pets in the world! Our current weiner boy is named, "Schatze." We have added Penny to your home now as well.
My Kids
I have a son Michael, who is 41 ,He is married, lives in St. Louis, I found his wife for him here in Tn. hoping they would live here near us but instead she packed up bag and baggage and moved to St. Louis, they have only been married since May of 2003, she has a son 17 so I not only accquired a new daughter in law but a new grandson as well. They have a son together Preston Connor who was born 5-7-07. My son works for Netco, has his associates degree in Business and is continuing to work towards his B.A. His wife is a registered nurse.
I have a daughter Jeana who is 39, she has a degree in French. She is a stay at home mom, with girls Josephine 7-03-98 and Simone 3-21-06. Her husband Feliz is a Lu...Expand for more
theran minister.
My youngest Jacqueline is 33, married with a son Nicolas 10-21-95 and a daughter Julianna 9-07-01. Jackie followed in my footsteps and is a registered nurse. Her husband is an electrican. I also have 3 step daughters and one step son! and 5 step grand children! Makes Christmas EXPENSIVE!
My Job: I work currently at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville Tn. It is the smallest hospital I have ever worked at in my career, only 163 beds. I am working on a medical floor which is my favorite, it can be grueling at times but all in all I still love nursing, it was the best career choice for me.
Dan and I started going on yearly curises 6 years ago and we absolutely love it, we usually go in late January for a week. One year we took 5 of my grandchildren with us, I was exhausted but enjoyed having them with us so very much. We also own a time share at Williamsburg Va. and one inside Disneyworld in Orlando, bought mainly for all our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
I plan to semi retire in 2010! Cutting my hours to just one day a week, maybe two..all depends on how I feel about working at that point. I know the nursing shortage continues to worsen with each passing year so will just wait and see. Can not imagine myself staying home every day for the rest of life even with my gardening and sewing!
