Sherry's Story
I love to read write poetry and draw.I view myself as a hopeless romantic. On the other hand I have a profound belief in a higher power that regulates the universe.fOR jESUS IS MY SAVIOR! I feel as if I am a strong woman with a sense of humor, who loves to laugh often, live well, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, because sorrow looks back, worry looks around, but faith looks up. My grandmother used to say why worry about things you have no control over, just hand it over and trust in Christ with all your mind, body and soul!!! That's my story and i'm sticking to it.LOL
I'll never forget living with my grandparents on sharpe st.In Forrest City,AR and all the friends i had in that area and the ones across the tracks as well.We used to play in the pool and in the box cars on the tracks and in the cotton gin.A shout out to all the friends i played with then.still love you guys and in memory of my brother who has since passed on(Ronald Jones)RIP........
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.I became the best nurse in 16 counties!!!!!!!!!
My favorite way to relax,is a walk in the woods,to set by the waterfalls and listen to nature, and draw, paint, and write short stories, songs and poetry.
My inspiration comes from several sources,#1.My grandmother(she was a nurse at Forrest Memorial Hospital for 40yrs)#2.My pastor and his wife(at Oak Hill Church of God)good people.#3.My brother,Ron Jones(RIP)he raised two girls on his own and they grew up to be confident, strong, and intelligent women........My daughter, for she is so couageous for raising two small children on her own,her inspiration hits me right in the heart, they have no one but me.BUT JESUS IS THE KEY!!!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Joey Shaw, because he was a great friend and a good man.I would love to meet Alfred Martin agaion, cuz i would try harder this time with him,and my Bro.Ronald so i could hold him tight hug him hard kiss him on the cheek and say;"I'll be there soon tell everyone to be looking for me,for heaven...Expand for more
will one day be my home too."
what i have learned from my daughter is That kindness turneth away wrath, and a child can become a great adult with only one parent in the home.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 2 million of it to St.Jude,to an organation for abused women and children, places such as christian drug restoration places for the troubled youth of our nation, myself, family and missions to spread the gospel.
My best friend,(Barbara Martin Stephens) would tell you I'm a good listener and great friend, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as bold, straight foward, and brassy.
blue jean tee shirt type of gal,but still slip into a frilly dress and heels with diamonds, emeralds and saphires, and get that occasional massage, manicure and pedicure-don't forget the tanning!LOL
In 10 years, I hope to be seeing my oldest granddaughter off to a college of her choice, and supporting her singing caree-that girl has talent!!!
Barbara Martin Stephens is my dearest and oldest friend. We met through her cousin Sandy, and we clicked because when God wrote my life he penciled her in and i am grateful to have such a wonderful friend!<3 u bambam! and always will,my friend by chance, but my sister by choice,MY CHOICE!!!
My first job was at Faulpels, where I got paid 2.10 an hour to serve burgers. What I remember most about it is the place had these loud speakers so you could tell customers when thier food was ready, and there was this guy(Harold Watson)i thought he was so handsome,i didn't know the speakers were on and i was talking about how cute he was and everyone (a lot of people)heard it,i was so embarrassed.
playing hookey with Sharalene Moody my childhood friend throughout my teen years,we got caught by her daddy,we never did that again,Lord he almost whipped me too!!
NOW DAZE; IT IS STILL LIKE THE OLD, IN SOME WAYS! For instance;I am raising my grandchildren, just like my grandmother raised me,but there is no grandfather in the picture. In some ways I am thankful for that, but it is way too painful to explain why, pray for me,cause it ain't easy babe,it ain't easy!!!!!!!!!
