Sheryl's Story
After school I worked as a receptionist and shortly after I met my future husband in March of 87'. He was and continues to be in rock bands. At the moment "Freight Train" is his three piece band. You just need to go onto myspace if you wan to find their info. I met him through a friend actually who also graduated from El Camino.
I started working for an insurance co. as a receptionist then customer service representative in 89' and in 92' started Skyline College. I gained my Emergency Medical Technician Certification. I exhausted my time trying to attain a job in that field and my cert. was up. I remained in insurance until 03'. 14 1/2 years was to be enough and I quit. I then began to work for temporary agencies off and on.
All through out that time we've had some wonderful pets. In 90' Chili our first doggy (Chihuahua) we adopted from a friend who couldn't keep her. She had ears like bat wings and was the sweetest. Then later in 91' we adopted again from the same friend a great dog Junior (Boxer) the best disposition you can find in a dog. Then in 95' we adopted Baby (Chihuahua) from the Peninsula Humane Society, she loved to eat corn off the cob. Fate again intervened because 3 people had given her up and I almost didn't get to be her guardian. So since all their passing we are taking a break from all the heartache of losing them. But we are very grateful to have loved them and had them in our lives.
I went to the 20th reunion in 06' which was a blast. I will be there at the 25th if there is one. It was so nice to have the people from South City High be there because for me I went to Jr. High with...Expand for more
some of them guys. So it was a nice surprise and lots of dancing and cavorting. I wished more people would have shown up.
In January 08' I again received my 2nd Emergency Medical Technician Certification and gathered all my credentials. I always seem to have monkey wrenches thrown in my direction, nobody will hire me and my certification runs out March 10'. I guess I won't know how and if it was going to work out for me. I have other things I would like to take a stab at (Emergency Room Technician or Mortician). I'm not really sure... I'm like in a slump right now. I guess I should go back to school though......
I finally married my loving husband Paul on 08.08.08. There were many, many couples at SF City Hall on that date. Well this was supposed to be the luckiest day of the year so we went for that date and luckily got it. Crazy, there were news crews there to cover the double capacity amount of weddings for that day. I am very grateful to be married to such a handsome, funny, loving and caring man. Man does he make me laugh and that's key for me.
As of 09' we now reside in our own home in Daly City and it is foggy. But it's our own. Rent no more, yeah!!! Trying to fix our pad now to just how we want it. Then maybe sometime this year we'll get some puppies (2) they need to keep each other company when we step out. And definitely from a shelter (Doggy Death Row).
So, I will continue to renew my subscription with Classmates and hopefully meet up with some people from the past. Nothing like the days of old. Hope all is well with all my past friends and classmates. Peace.
Happy 2010 !!!!!!!! ;^D
