Sheryl's Story
Life
Retired real estate broker. I worked in Las Vegas from the time I was 15 (and later Laughlin, Nevada) as an Aretha Franklin impersonater and keyboard player for various lounge groups. I teach online classes for Universalclassdotcom and currently live in Prescott, Arizona. I write in the children's lit field as well as in adult main stream literature. My weight is no longer an issue -- I had a gastric bypass last year!!!! Very successful. Now I'm a vegetarian, committed exercise freak -- eat your heart out -- Chris Mueller -- I am 'Bubble Up Girl' no longer! :)
College
There are worse things than dissect...Expand for more
ing frogs - try dissecting a camel! Our professor drug a dead one in from the desert that had gotten away from a caravan going through years ago and we did that. I will never forget!
Workplace
I traveled for years with soul bands -- such as Aretha Franklin doing keyboard and vocal backups. My own groups got steady work in Vegas as members of Musicians Union #369.
When I moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma, my world came to a halt as I dealt with the oil field paperwork and output that had been left to me and it took eight and a half years to get out of that toilet bowl and the bear turds rolling in fish hooks there.
