Shirley's Story
Life
I'vebeen retired since 2002 after 43 years and three careers. I was a secretary from 59-70, Personnel and Training Director from 70-82, and a Community College Instructor from 83-02. Live in beautiful upcountry Maui and with my husband, Arthur, raise , goats, and exotic flowers and manage our two rentals. We love to travel and to dance, especially country-western. I had no children of my own, but have three step-children, two boys and one girl, and seven grandchildren, and 3 greats.. Love attending reunions with YO-HI grads from the 50's.
College

ss while working full-time from Seattle City College in 1979 and M.Ed. from University of Hawaii-Manoa in 1991 through outreach at Maui Community College, now UH Maui Campus.. Major was Higher Ed Administration. Taught Intro to Hotels, and many Business Technology courses, including Word Processing, Computer Keyboarding, Intro to Windows, Legal Transcription, Alphabetic Shorthand, Business Machines, etc. Managed the computer lab.
We're very active in our local Catholic church,and I manage their religious articles gift shop. My passion right now is learning to play the ukulele well. Love to play and sing along with my husband, Arthur, who plays uke and guitar. Mostly Hawaiian and Country music.
