Life
Wow...how to catch up on 37 years! Has it really been that long since I graduated? The calender says so, but I don't feel like I've aged THAT much.
I got married in November 1972. Bob and I have lived in Detroit, Indiana, (where he attended Grace College and Seminary), Florida (14 months--couldn't wait to get back to the Midwest!)and Ohio. Bob is a registered nurse with specialized training as a trauma nurse. He also has his Doctorate of Theology. So he has pastored churches, taught in Christian schools and, of course, been a nurse in all sorts of settings! We are currently serving as fulltime medical missionaries in ...Expand for more
the Dominican Republic. Have been here since December of 2003.
We are here with SCORE International out of Chattanooga, TN.
We have two children. Our daughter, Shan, now has three children {{and an ex-husband}}. Our son, David, is married and they are currently in the process of adopting from Guatemala.
By the way, I no longer go by Shirley. Seems the Spanish language does not have an *SH* sound, so they couldn't say my name. Told a little girl my middle name was Anne; she changed it to Anna, and that was the end of *Shirley*. Fine with me as I never liked that name.
