Shirley's Story
When my family left Groton in 1967, we moved to a small town in South Carolina. Whitmire has a population of about 1,200. I was always coming here during my summers because I loved to stay with my Grandparents. After graduating from Whitmire High School, I married Jimmy Huneycutt.. We ''ve been married for 47 yrs. My life is centered around my family, community and church. I am a Christian and attend the Church of God just a couple of blocks from my house. My life isn't exciting in the eyes of the world but serving Jesus is the most wonderful and exciting thing that could ever happen to anyone. The joy and happiness is beyond measure. I love HIM with all my heart and soul and I'm looking forward to HIS soon return.
