Shirley's Story
Life
Became a Texan in 1965, living in Katy (west of Houston). Happily married to husband Tommy for 40+ years. Greatest pride: two children--- Mark, a Harvard grad who lives in Manhattan with his wife Janey and our two-year old granddaughter Lucy; and Melissa, a Southwestern University grad who lives in Georgetown, TX with her husband Bert, who bleeds UT (Hook 'Em Horns!) orange. Recent update: A new little sister, Allison (Alice) joined Lucy in July 2007. UPDATE: New grandson (George)September 2008. & Braden (Brady) were born on Sept 26, weighing in at 5#14oz and 6#11oz respectively (pretty good sizes for twins!). They live just 3 hours from us, so we'll be spoiling them every chance we get. Guess our fishing trips will have to wait! UPDATE: We celebrated our 45th anniversary June 10, 2012
Retired in 2014 and relocated to Georgetown, TX. We love it, especially being closer to the twins, who are 7 now. Our son and daughter-in-law now live in Oklahoma, which is a lot closer than NYC! Their children are now 10, 7, and 6, and we are hoping to see them more often now that the travel time is three hours less.
