Life
Hello Old Friends,
Life has been quite a journey for this gal. I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful children who are now young adults and embarking on their own paths in life. I also have a 5 year old grandson and if I'd known how wonderful that was going to be I would have had grandchildren first...lol.
I spent the first 18 years of my working years in Telecommunications. Since 1998 I have made some major career changes. I attended McMaster University and have shifted gears to the Health Care Sector working in the field of Addictions and Mental Health.
My new career is much more rewarding as I have always had a Humanitarian hiding in me.
As I write this bio I can't help but cringe and wonder what the memories of me might be from high school. I was soooo scared of getting thumped by someone that I always played the "tough guy" and only a few choice people ever got to know the real me.
I know we've all changed and grown up in various ways...and well...school is school...stuff happens and it's a crazy time in everyone's life....Expand for more
I have alot of good memories and alot of silly memories and I would love to connect with anyone who is interested in walking down memory lane over a cup of coffee and an on line chat or phone call.
Remeber the old Gulf gas station where we actually sat and smoked our cigarettes on concrete stumps only a few feet from the pumps. My first pack was 61 cents... holy cow!!! I remember the smoking area in the north parking lot...just a little parking spot with a big old tree in the middle and 50 kids cramed in close to get a smoke without stepping outside the line...no wonder I never noticed how cold winter was...lol.
I remember great dances, great bands, and Mr. Yaverbaum!!! BOOM BOOM!! I rememeber the shock of getting caught skipping Assembly...I never thought that would actually be an offense.
I remember great football games and great bands and dances and plays and the old cliche from the 1976 yearbook..."What a time it was!"
I hope life has been spectacular to all of you...It's has certainly been an adventure for me!!!
