Skip's Story
Welcome to my journey from Elementary school and back again.
It's difficult to give my bio in 50 words or less because my life has spanned more years than that but here's the Reader's Digest abridged version.
I was born in Halifax and will always consider Nova Scotia "home " though now I live in Ontario.
I spent 30 years in the military, in various occupations but the majority of my time and certainly my latter years were as a flight engineer. In that capacity I've travelled the world and lived abroad.
After retiring from the airforce I returned to school and became a land surveyor. I was then hired by Air Canada as a flight operations/simulartor instructor on the Airbus A340 and A320 .

Canada I volunteered in my wife's class(then my G/F). With her encouragement I decided to pursue a career in education.
Though I had instructed for many years in the military, for Air Canada and at Holland College in P.E.I., I finally followed a life long dream to become a school teacher and graduated from Brock University in May 2006. I am presently teaching with Simcoe County District School Board in Ontario.
So to that end I began the latest leg of my journey at the Faculty of Ed. at Brock U. graduating in May 2006.
It's never too late to follow a dream!
Footnote: I have taken a leave of absence from the classroom to carry out my duties as President of the Simcoe County Elementary Occasional Teacher's Federation
