Skipper's Story
Life
Was married for 6 years but paroled early for good behavior in 96! So I am Single again!! I have a beautiful 27 year old daughter that I raised as a single parent. She is the light of my life. To see more pics visit my Facebook . I now live in West Texas -- Blackwell. I am on the Volunteer Fire Department and also on the EMS team. I have been the Election Judge for the past many years and have served on the School Board. I was the Outdoor Troop Leader for the local Girl Scouts for 4 years. I also served on the PTO for 6 years. With GOD all dreams are possible.
School
With my Dad being in the Army, we moved around a lot before we settled in Mt. Vernon. I was in the band for 7 years. Jr. High through High School. I played the trombone and was also the Drum Major my Senior year. I enjoyed spending time with the many great friends I had back then. I hope to get in contact with some of them and catch up on things in their lives.
College
I was in the Electronics Program from the fall of 81 through the spring ...Expand for more
of 83. I lived in Blackwell and drove in to classes each day. I used to drive the Red and Black Fiat X19 sports car to class. I went to work for Northern Telecom Inc. after gradutaion and traveled over 16 states for 7 years. I am back in Blackwell now!
Workplace
I started working for Denman Drilling in Mt. Pleasant the summer after High School Graduation. Then while I was going to college I worked for Safeway Food Stores. In 83 I went to work for Northern Telecom installing Telecommunications equipment that ran the local phones in cities. I covered 16 states over 7 years. From New Mexico and Colorado to the East Coast. I moved to Dallas in 90 and worked as a Technical Support Engineer for NT. In 94 I moved back home and went to work for Talyor Telephone Coop. In 96 I took a job with Southwestern Bell Wireless running the Abilene Switching Office and Cellular Tower Sites. In 2000 I went to work for Western Wireless Corp. where I maintain the Abilene area Cellular Network and 9 counties covering 10,000 square miles.
