Sonia's Story
Life
Since 1980 I've been somewhat of a professional student. I suppose it just takes some of us a little longer to figure out what we're going to be when we grow up! My bachelor's degree from Clemson was in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and upon graduation I began working at Drayton Hall Plantation in Charleston. in Early Childhood Education. I then taught 3rd & 4th grades at Newington Elementary in Summerville for 6 years. After being completely disenchanted with teaching, I returned to school for another Master's degree. This time I went to seminary in Richmond, VA to study Christian Education. I graduated in 1998, am presently living in New Orleans, and am working as the Director of Christian Education at a Presbyterian church.
