Sonya's Story

Life I have been a full time mother since I graduated from Quartz Hill High... I am now a full time College student Majoring in Criminal Justice, and raising teens... I am volunteering at a school for Adults and Children with special needs. I am also active in the UCAN program. Which is similar to the Peace Corp but I stay here at home in the US. I am truely enjoying life and expect to graduate with a degree in Law in 2010.. In 2007 i had a scare with the possibility of cancer.. I have put school on hold and will finish schooling at a later time. I am now a grandmother to a beautiful grandson. After 7 losses my daughter was blessed and we have spent life enjoying him... I am glad to have spent the last 20 years raising children... I am truely enjoying watching my son play sports and my girls participating as cheerleaders, singing solo's, drama queens and dancers or what ever their hearts content.. I cant im...Expand for more
agine what it would be like to have a weekend off... My oldest daughter is currently in college working on her LPN, working toward her RN and has thoughts of becoming a Doctor... My second daughter is working in theater and is loving it.. She is in College as an Engineer and should be out working in the field in a year or so... My third daughter just graduated high school and is doing testing to become a nurse... My son is an athlete and a darn good pitcher.. He was scouted by a college in California last summer when attending Mark Caressa's school of baseball.. His dream is to be a pitchr like his cousin Rudy Owen who is currently pitching for the A team of the Pittsburge Pirates. I am glad to have moved out of California and love my life in Utah..
