Sonya's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my husband in 1988 when I was 16. I had joined the Bernalillo County Volunteer Fire Department for something to do.
We were engaged in August 1988 and were married in June 1989. We're still married, it's been a good 22 years! :)
In March 2004 hubby graduated the sheriff's academy. He's now working for the sheriff's department out here (Torrance County).
My Pets
We had 2 Shar-pei dogs (you know, the kind with all the wrinkles). One is "Eb...Expand for more
ony," the other is "Cocoa" who passed away in Sept. '04 Ebony recently passed away in Nov. '05. We now have 3 dogs (Largo, Cleo) adopted from the animal humane society and Bella who was given to us. We also have 3 cats, Shadow, Punkin & Dusty.
My Kids
In November 1997 my husband & I adopted our son Roger. He's 18 and will be starting college in a few weeks.
In September 2002 we adopted Steven (Roger's bio brother). Steven is 12 and is getting ready to start 7th grade.
