Stacy's Story
Life
After graduating from Othello in 1988, I attended Washington State University. After receiving my BA in Elementary Education with endorsements in English and Spanish, I started teaching 7th and 8th grade English and Reading (I taught with our old 6th grade teacher, Ms. Landon!) At the same time, I began my master's program at the WSU-Richland campus. In 1995 I completed my M.Ed in Counseling Psychology.
In 1996 I married and began my life as a farmer's wife in LaCrosse (on Hwy 26 between Othello and Pullman). e to spend more time with my family, on the farm, and at church. Although I still find myself busy substitute teaching and contracting with the school district as the Assessment(WASL) Director.
I have three beautiful children: Ashtyn, 9; Gunnar, 6 and Abree, 3. They keep us on our toes and at a dead run. My husband Leonard and I are busy with our wheat farm. My children are the 4th generation to live in our farm house.
As a family we enjoy attending WSU Cougar football and basketball games! Go Cougs! I spend my time chasing kids' activities, running a youth group, volunteering at school and in the community, and scrapbooking when the opportunity arises (which isn't very often).
