Stan's Story
Life
Right after graduation I went to work for Uncle Sam in the USAF. I married a great gal from Texas early in 1966 and we had our first child in 1967. Continued with Uncle Sam at Pease AFB in New Hampshire until Christmas of 1968. After working as a telecommunications engineer for a good many years, I worked retail for a few years and had my own furniture repair business for a few years and am now RETIRED! I still work for a local company when they need extra help and spend the rest of the time working on our small homestead. Gardening, landscaping, and a Kitchen remodel.
I began working for RCA Service Company in East Hartford on February 3, 1969 and was with them until GE purchased the company. My division was sold by GE to Telenova and then to Mitel. I left in 2000 and worked retail for a few years until beginning my own furniture repair business.

nd AFB in July of 1965 for that 6 week stay. From there it was off to Keesler AFB in beautiful downtown Biloxi. I studied first Basic Electronics and then Navagational Equipment Repair. During the break I got married to my lifes' soul mate. After graduation from all the electronics training I was transferred to Pease AFB (509th Bomber Wing) in Portsmouth, NH which is where we remained for the remainder of my enlistment. I did leave for that 6 month trip to the Island of Guam. Guam is Good is what the sign said as we entered the terminal building over there. It turned out to be a good tour with many enjoyable memories. Upon my return to Pease I was informed of a 6 month early out program which I took advantage of. The instruction and training I received in the Air Force was the foundation to my career in the electronics and telecommunications industry. Would I do it again? Absolutely!
