Life
Howdy - Here we go -Dec 7 1941 at Pearl Harbor (Recently added my Pearl harbor story to their new web page - pearlharborstories.org) then lived in Chicago,Idaho,California Reached Tx in 46 (Navy kid)- after Ray High was electrician - married Jackie Austin(Grace's little sister)3 kids.divorced in 74 married Glenda Russell Causey 1975 adoped Kim-Became electrical engineer in 69.We lived in St Croix for 14 years. Am an ardent spearfisherman since 1960,we owned a Piper Warrior for 5 years so we could spearfish in Anegada,BVI.
Am into cycling (ride MS-150 each April)kayaking,as well as offshore fishing and diving.Refuse to grow old but confess to getting uglier every year.
Update - placed 3rd in Houston Senior Olympics 12 mile road race April 2005. Will appear on OLN this spring March 6th 6:30am. ith bicycles and kayaks.Start out 7/03- (Back at work 6/04) - Contract engineer at Dow Chemical - Love my work! Am enjoying meeting freedivers from all over the world on line at "freediver.net" See my pictorial there in the stories and photo's section. My great wife just gave me permission to ride the last 9 days of the 2004 Tour de France.(Touring the route, not racing) go Lance!
Well - we had a great 50th reunion. As usual Jean Kenny (Rogers) teased me about being to bashfull to ask her out - I had huge gaps in my teeth and was too embarresed to to ask girls for a date. Didn't really appreciate Allred and his flaming boyfriend and impeach Bush T shirt, oh well, thats the left coast. Hope everyone has quit smoking by now and continue to pursue life in the best health possible. Oh BTW I just discovered I can be googled - search - stan cates. What a surprise that was. As usual training for next Senior Olympics and next summer freediving/spearfishing. ciao Ya'll
