o help people, and the authority to help make it happen was great. Making sure that the system, and petty tyrants, didn't screw over the troops was a passion of mine. I worked for some wonderful Commanders who were as concerned for the troops as I was. I never once had to go over their heads because they always did the right thing. I served some great people in the squadrons I was in. From AB to Full Colonel I felt like we had good relationships. I always got flack for being "undertall", "vertically challenged" ETC. All in good fun.
If I had the opportunity to live my life over, I would only do it if I could have the jobs I had and serve with the people who made it all worthwhile.
