Stanley's Story
At Southeastern High in Detroit, MI, just before my senior year (1967), my mom moved us into what we thought at first was Highland Park, and attended Highland Park High School.
After spending almost 3 months there, the school informed us that our home was one house outside its border, so we had to leave Highland Park High to attend Central High.
My mom said no to Central, and kept us out of school. After I was hired by GM in 1968, my two sisters and I attended our senior year at St. Gregory Sr. High and were the last graduating class of 1969.

Service Technical Writer, responsible for publishing owners manuals, Service manuals and bulletins.
I spent 38 years with GM before retiring, as well as becoming a writer for the Detroit Free Press on the side.
In 1995, I started publishing a newsletter called Day Star Publications, and completely enjoy doing that.
I thoroughly enjoy reminiscing my days with Southeastern, teachers like Mr. Barr, Mr. Miller (bad man), and Mrs. Dobey (whom I still have contact with). I loved singing in the ensemble under Dobey's direction and all the friends and friendships I've had during those years.
If anyone would like a copy of the SE school song, let me know.
