Starr's Story
Life
Check out Unexpected Mommy on MySpace. I had been driving a truck for almost three years. I met my Cajun/Italian husband in Nashville in Feb '99 and we teamed up on the road 6 months after that. We were married April 28, 2001. Our baby girl Sara Danielle was born July 15, 2001. Our baby boy Nicholas Ryan was born November 19, 2006. We own 11 acres about one hour north of New Orleans.
School
I never really worked up to my potential in school. I went to Jackson Elementary, then Brentwood Middle School in Greeley, CO. Then we moved to Reedley, CA and I went to Great Western, Grant Jr High, and Reedley High. My greatest regret is not being involved more. I wish I had played sports and an instrument and been active in clubs. I especially wish I had actually studied. But, I just slid by when I could've been at least in the running for valedictorian.
College
After high school, I went off to the University of California at Sant...Expand for more
a Barbara. But, alas, I went into emotional crisis there and ended up attempting suicide and spending a week in the hospital. Then I came home, got my life together, and got my associates degree from Reedley College (formerly Kings River Community)in 1994. I planned on continuing on at Fresno State but I took another road. About 3 years later, I actually went to Fresno State, but quit a couple of months into the semester.
Work
I did lots of things from tutoring to McDonald's. I worked for the IRS in Tulare for a couple of tax seasons. I went to West Hills College for the truck driving program. I got my license and ended up working as a teacher's assistant there for awhile. Then I went off and drove for Dick Simon Trucking out of Salt Lake City. That's where I met my husband. Then we went to another company, J-Mar Trucking out of Alabama. I ended up pregnant and had to quit driving. I've been a stay-at-home mother ever since.
