Stefanie Nordberg:  

Life Spent the first year after graduation in Missoula, working, going to school and just having fun. Moved in September of 1986 to Seattle with Cathy Humphrey and Julia Bick. Went on a job interview the day I got to Seattle and started the next day for SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories. I kept that job for the five years that I lived in Seattle. On my first vacation home to Polson in July of 1987, I went out with our classmate Carl Nordberg. We were friends in HS but had never dated. Anyway....things worked out and he moved out to Seattle. We were married in July of 1989. We moved back to Polson when our daughter Brit was about 1-1/2 years old. Had our son Trey in 1994, and started my own daycare business a month later so that I could stay home with my kids. I am still running my childcare business, having taken a year and a half off in 1997-98 to work at my fathers business, Polson Auto Salvage, ending when he sold it to Patterson's. I pulled engines, sold parts and hauled junk vehicles from all over Lake County. Yeah...sounds aweful, however, I learned so much about mechanics that I will always be glad I did it, plus I really enjoyed the time spent with my dad. Carl is an Electrician here in Polson and owns his own Electrical Contracting Business called "Nordberg Electric", and I reopened my childcare business when dad sold the salvage yard in 1998. Carl, the kids, and I spent seven very active years (97 thru 03)involved with the Mission Valley Auto Racers, (Mission Valley Speedway). I started racing first while working for my dad. We built a Bomber stockcar that I drove in 97 and 98. Then Carl built a Hobby Stock racecar and I moved into the head judge position at the speedway for four years 99-02. I also was webmaster of the MVAR site for two seasons, 01 & 02, did the scrapbook for several years, wrote the articles for the paper each week, and served in both the Presid...Expand for more
