Life Biography Stella E. Wischmeyer, RN, MSN “Nurses should be their patients’ role models.” I have been a practicing RN for 41 years in surgical oncology, cardiac care, hospice/infusion care, home health, and nurse education in St. Louis, MO, Houston, TX, New York, NY and the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. I have presented on endovascular stent graft repairs at nursing grand rounds at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. I discovered while in Houston that my real niche was as an educator. I now am a certified registered nurse practitioner and perform house calls for Medicare Advantage members for United Health Care. I am an ADN graduate from Belleville (Illinois) Area College in 1977 and received my BSN in 1986 from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. I recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with an MSN.
