Stephan's Story

Life I started at Bowie High School and decided that I was going to join the USAF when I got done. As a result I transfered to Laurel High School to go through the ROTC program there. After completion of the three year requirement (One during summer school and two at Laurel)I transfered back to Bowie to graduate close to home. I have since served 4 years in the Air Force and returned home when my enlistment was over. I couldn't give it all up, so I joined the Maryland Air National Guard. After getting off of active duty, I went to work as an Industrial Engineer. After 10 years of that I moved on and am now doing high level calibration work. I have a home in Odenton and live there with my girlfriend and our two dogs and three cats. In my spare time (like I have a lot of that) I do model airplanes, yard work, camping trips, woodworking, and biking. ...Expand for more
School I went to Bowie High School my freshman and senior years since I wanted to go into ROTC. I transfered to Laurel High School for ROTC my sophmore and junior years. I transfered back to Bowie since it was closer to home. College I haven't graduated, but I have attended Prince Georges Community College, Leeward Community College, and the University of Hawaii. I took classes as time allowed with my military duties. Military I was active duty starting in June 1986 and went to Keesler AFB for Avionics Navigational Systems. I was there for about a year and was sent to Hickam AFB as permanent party. I was in 15th CAMS Nav shop when it went to Comm/Nav. I got out in 1991 and went into the Maryland Air National Guard. I have been there ever since. I have done many trips all over the world during the past 18 years and I wouldn't change a thing.
