Stephanie's Story
Attended Dupo schools through 9th grade. When 10th grade started for me, I was able to attend St. Clair Christian Academy...one of the best decisions EVER made!
After graduating, I went away to Dover, De for a year of college. I was soooo homesick at the time, I couldn't stand it, but I finished out the year.
Came home and got a job in St. Louis and worked there 2yrs. My dad had been emplyed at East. St. Louis Stone for many years. They had been bought out by a big Chicago company and offered him a transfer to Chicago. That's how I ended up here.
I met my future husband in October of 1985 and we married in September of 1988. Getting ready to celebrate our 20th anniversary. One of the hardest things in life is.......two lives becoming one. Thanks to good role models and a common denominator (God), we remain married. Lots of struggles and disagreements through the years, but it only gets better as we go.

I have a good life and am happy. I have friendships from the Christian school that I still cherish and maintain. I come home to Dupo 3/4 times a year. I use to say "there's no place like home" but, home for me is now here-Lockport. It's weird...growing up and staying in that small town of 3,000 people, I never knew there was a wholother world outside the boundariers of those train tracks. :>) I drive by the high school and think of the fond times/memories I had. I relive the track meets, softball games, football games, fights and all the other things kids do to be silly, but think they are cool. Funny how time and maturity changes you and the way you think.
I always wonder what has happened to some of you all...and hope to get in contact with a few of you!
