Stephanie's Story
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were a bit disappointed that I didn't go to college after high school.
Relaxation hasn't really been in the picture for my lately. I am constantly on the go and working. Needless to say, my favorite way to relax when I can is to completely veg out in front of the TV or curled up with a great book. I can get lost eternally in a book.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. My biggest surprise is that I have already been married and divorced. I never thought that I would end up like my parents, married, divorced, married, divorced and I still don't plan to. I married when I was 21 to someone who I actually went to high school with. How is being divorced you ask? Not fun, I never see my ex-husband and I wish him nothing but the best. He wasn't a bad guy or anything, we just couldn't get it together for one reason or another. My advice if you want it...really search yourself and make sure you want to be with that person forever. Also, know that ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!

I am currently the manager of the Seaway Inn in Santa Cruz. I have been with the Aspromonte Corporation now for approximately 5 years and managing for 3. I never thought that I would be running my own Inn. I'm loving the life, but missing my original career choice of becoming a teacher.
For the past 2 years, I have been living on the property with my Fiance and our kitty. Just recently, we have moved up and out into the world again and are now living in Capitola. I share my home with my fiance, a friend and 2 cats. I love being able to go "home" from work however, rather than working from home. I do still plan on getting my butt back in school to be a teacher...it'll happen.
My best friend would tell you I'm lovable, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stuck up. I love to socialize but I tend to stick to the same circle of "friends."
My first job was at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, where I got paid $6.35/hr. to operate rides. What I remember most about it was learning how to put myself out there to meet new people and slowly learning to come out of my shell..
