Stephanie's Story
Life
Since graduation, I married Myron Dupré from Houma on April 11, 1975 and have been married for 34 years. My husband and I live in Patterson. We have two sons..Brad is 29 and lives and works in Jacksonville,FL. Brad obtained a degree in electronics in 2001 and he married Julie Stelly on April 11, 2009. Brett is 25 and has graduated from Nicholls State University and received his diploma in December, 2006 with a major in English. He taught English III at Patterson High School for the 2006-2007 school session and then went back to Nicholls for the 2007-2008 semester and worked there as well. He is now teaching at Archbishop Rummel High School in New Orleans. He will be marrying Kristina Falgoust of Vacheire in February 2010. Can't wait until we can be grandparents!
I have been employed with St.Mary Parish School Board as a secretary since 1992 in the Morgan City office. I had previously been a secretary at Patterson Jr. High School in the late 70's, early 80's but was afforded the luxury to be a stay at home Mom when the boys were born. It always felt so "funny" to walk the halls at PJHS and remember the good ti...Expand for more
mes that I had there when it was PHS! Myron works for FCC Environmental (formerly US Filter Recovery Services) out of New Orleans.
Myron and I have such a full life. We have such fun spending time with our friends, going dancing and taking cruises and spending time in Branson with friends we have met there. We also take time for mini weekend vacations. We enjoy being a part of the Cypress Sawmill Festival Support Staff and enjoy working at the pageant and festival. In March, 2008, Myron had the honor of being crowned Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival King XV. He enjoyed his reign and in March, 2009, crowned his successor.
Life has really been good to me and blessed me with a fine family and wonderful friends. From time to time I think of my high school days and long for the simple life we had back then and wish that life was not so fast and furious for my children! I have reached the stage in my life where I hope when I leave this place that I am remembered as a loving and helpful person. Until then, I'm going to continue having fun and enjoying life to the fullest! Hope all is well with you.
Love Ya!
