Stephanie's Story
Life
Went to SIUE after H.S. graduation. Moved to Denver, CO in 1974 (trying to forget Bob Graham). My Mom came down with lymphoma and I moved back into the area Dec. 1991. Bob Graham came back into my life (dated in college -- funny what Class Reunions can cause...) and we were married in Sept. 1994. My Mom died in Jan. 1995... My brother Stan (class of '66) died 3 yrs. ago in Denver. I never could have children thanks to the Rocky Mtn. Arsenal. I started the class action suit against them. Settled out of court 7 yrs. later. I raised and showed some of the top Basset and Bloodhounds in the country. Won at Madison Square Gardens (Westminster) with my top Basset two different years. our Rottweiler 3 yrs. ago. He's multi titled and even herds sheep for competition. I brought back a new Basset baby from Salt Lake City (it's been 2 yrs. now) -- great grandpuppy of my top Basset. Waited a long time for this little guy. Named him ReRun. Hoping he'll following in great granddad's paw prints! Finished his championship quickly and waiting for him to grow up.
Bob passed away from cancer April 1, 2017. I had no inclination to even date again, much less get married again. Then April of 2023 here comes Tom Dutchik into my life. We were married in 5 mos. of dating. We're both extremely happy. Can honestly say this is the first time I've been truly happy in my life. It only took me 71 years to find the right partner! (Can't figure how to update my name!)
