Stephanie's Story

Life Hi Everyone, Did you ever think we 60's "hippies" would be 50, AARP knocking at the damn door!!!!!! I hope that all of you are doing well and i hear from you soon. In 1984, I packed it up, put my 2 young children in the car top carrier and relocated to San Antonio TX, for 13 years. Thought it might be a good idea if Jeff and i had a little break after the 2nd divorced. LOL. It worked, we remain very close, platonic parents and grandparents, enjoying our family to the fullest. I was not fond of Texas, but I managed to obtain a master's degree in psychiatric social work to compliment my nursing degree. It has worked out well and i have been fortunate enough to have had many unique employment opportunities. Unfortunatley, i was forced to leave my position as a nurse case manager for a large disability company a year ago and am currently on disability due to a nasty case o...Expand for more
f, treatment resistant, rheumatoid arthritis. I am now on IV chemo in an attempt to get this very pesky disease under better control. It's been quite a life change for me after burning the candle at both ends for over 20 years. My son, Nickolas, is 28, lives in San Antonio with his girlfriend and gave me a grandson, Darrion, last February. Wish i could see the little guy more. My daughter, Danielle, is 26 and has a 2 1/2 year old gorgeous bright daughter, Niki, who is the absolute light of my life. Both of them live with me in Eden Prairie. Danielle is enrolled in nurses training. I've been a bit out of the touch, so I decided that since i'm getting a "real" computer over the next few weeks, I would join Classmates and see what is going on with all my old friends.
