Stephanie's Story
Life
Since leaving the hallowed halls of Beaver High School, I received my Associates from Southern Utah Univ., and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State Univ. Married to Eric Eberle since 1988,we live in Kanosh, Utah and enjoy each other and our laid-back lifestyle. We do not have children so we do just about anything we want. We are both work in law enforcement. We are members of the local Search and Rescue. I'm working for a local radio station, and Adult Probation and Parole. I received my 1st Degree Blackbelt 09/26/03 (Who'da thunk it?).
Got a new house and moved in in Jan 2007. We tore down the old one and it is still at the same address and same footprint as the old house.
As for pets, I have a 4 ft. Ball Python named "Cairo", and cute cat that adopted us. I will be adding pix to my photo album periodically. Check it out and maybe leave me a note.
Namaste,
Steph
School
I was scared to death to go to high school and fought my parents for about 2 weeks. But,it was just as my dad said it would be, "Some of the best years of my life", and among my favorite memories. I wasn't a "popular" kid, just average. But I had a group of friends that were the best. I was in the musicals, was a mascot for 2 years (w/ unicycle),a DJ at KBBD, and a State champion Orator. Good Times! Thanks to the friends and the teachers I had. I have alot of love and respect for you.
I really miss that monolith along main street. I actually dream about it and being in school ALL THE TIME!
College
Went to SUSC in Police Science and received an Assoc. Degree. My dad got his Masters Degree the same time. (1987). SUSC became SUU that year. Lived in Juniper Hall both years. One with a roomie and the the next year with just lil' ol' me. While I was at SUSC I carried on the mascot madness as "Thor the Thunderbird" for one basketball season. It was really fun.
I decided that I wanted to get married rather than go to Weber State University for my Bachelors and so for the next 10 years that is what I did. Decided that a Bachelors degree wouldn't hurt an...Expand for more
d so completed my last 2 years by correspondence through Washington State University in Pullman, WA. That really sucked, but I finished my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in my own time and was able to stay home and work. For 4 years I worked under private contract with the Department of Adult Probation and Parole doing Presentence Investigations for Millard and Juab counties. That was my absolute favorite job in the world!!!
Workplace
After graduation I worked at the good ol'El Bambi Cafe. I will never waitress again, I swear it! I worked as a construction flagger/motel maid and met my hubby that way-he was an inspector for UDOT that stayed at the motel. Got married in 1988 and Worked at the Texaco Budget Stop in Fillmore. It was good to see Beaver friends as they came by. (Kenny H.,StevenB.,and Chris S.).
Getting completely out of my element I became a dental assistant for almost 2 years and loved it! My former employer is a great friend and I would love to do that job again...as long as there is an oxygen bottle near by HA HA (nothing like an assistant with a tendency to faint).
July 1999 -July2003, I contracted with the State as a Presentence Investigator for Millard and Juab Counties since. I worked under the direction of Adult Probation and Parole. My supervisor was my old neighbor SCOTT (Ernie) WILSON...remember him? (now goes by Ron). The contract ended and I went to work for an orthodontist in Richfield. Left that 10 mos later, and found a job in Delta at KNAK-Radio AM 540. Conservative talk, news and sports. Kinda like deja vu from high school, but with no turn tables.
04/2007 Working from home since 4/2005: Still w/ the radio station, but doing this from home by remote. Also, I worked part time for Sterling Testing Sytems doing pre-employment screening online. See? Not all online jobs are scams! hahaha. April 2006, was hired back part time at AP&P. This year, they pushed the issue and now my job is fulltime as a Correctional Officer with AP&P. Took me a while, but I enjoyed the route that I took and I'm where I want to be.
