Stephanie's Story

Life My life bio is maybe not as exciting as some people's but it was exciting for me. I graduated HS and went to Clark college for the summer and continued to work and play for a couple of years. In Feb. 1998 I went to the AirForce, that was the best thing I could have done. I eventually got a medical discharge for hurting my knee's in service after 1 year. I moved to Pittsburg with a boyfriend and that didn't work out for me, so I moved back here to Portland. I met my soon to be husband through some other friends and had a baby in 2000, got married in 2002 and had another baby in 2003. I graduated from College to be an Medical Assistant, I am pursing my associates now in college for medical assisting and I also work full-time at OHSU. My life is very crazy right now, but it is all worth it. I finally got in the field of work I have wanted for a long time. School I graduated from Washougal HS. Yip frickin EE!!...Expand for more
College After I graduated good ole' Washougal HS, I went to a summer culinary arts program at Clark College. In 2002 I got my diploma for Medical Claims and Billing and in Dec. 2004 I received a diploma from Apollo College to be an Medical Assistant. I received my Associates in Medical Assisting from Everest College in 2006. Workplace I have been working different jobs with the State of Oregon and Mult. County. I got bored of the temporary part of the jobs so I stopped working in Nov. of 2003 and I started going back to school. I am currently working at OHSU in the Hematology/Surgical Oncology Department. I am very excited about it. Military I went into the AF in Feb. 98 and is was so much fun. I ended up getting a medical dischrage in Oct. 98 because I hurt my knees while I was in service. The military was the best thing I ever did with my life, I am glad I stopped party to realize what I needed to do.
