Stephanie's Story

Life Jimmy asked me when we hooked up as a group again but no I'm not married. I added Snow (mom's maiden name) to my name to hide from my father at secretarial school and work. I am working as a legal secretary. I've switched firms to go to a huge firm downtown near the seaport. I am a proud aunt of a nephew named Ryan. My father has passed away in 2000 and I have made peace with him. Since I moved out of my mom's house and the old neighborhood at 26 I've lived in every borough except Brooklyn. Sports obsession is Rangers Hockey. I love my animals and horse. I am still into Bon Jovi and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal besides pop music. I love to read, garden, target shoot, scrapbook and cook. My career aspirations are to finish college and not be a secretary forever. School What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? The wildest thing I did in grade school was stop on the way from reading class to one of the first grade teachers (she use to do brownie's too) and she had me sit in her class and I got busted by Ms. Bitsco. I do remember the guys throwing spit balls at Sr. Elizabeth in 7th grade. In 8th Grade I had a crush on Gerald. In high school I had a few crushes one on Tommy McCourt and one on Donald McIntrye. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Gerald Murray, because I just want to see what he made of himself. Greatest memory about school and childhood because we didn't have muc...Expand for more
h after my father left us with no money. My GSS graduation party (my mom saved alot for that) at the American Legion because it was for many of us at one time and my dad was there. That was one of the last times I got to see him for 15 years. My oldest friends are Colleen Gillen and Donna Ryan. We met going to kindergarten waiting for the bus on Seamen and Dyckman Street. We had the best time growing up. My mom told me that Donna wouldn't get on the bus for kindergarten if I didn't go to school. The one thing I don't miss about school is High School Gym class as I was never good at it. I can always remember Ms. Cap yelling at me or having me sit on the side lines. The other thing I don't wish to remember is having to go to school with the nuns that knew my family and helped take care of me especially when they put my baby picture in the main office Freshman year and having Stacey tell me about it. I do remember hanging out after school to see the guys come from Mount to clean or those corny dances. When I see girls now with the short rolled skirts I laugh at how we use to do that. Working Life I've been working a a legal secretary since I left high school and now work for a large firm downtown. I've been told I'm great at what I do. My first job was at the deli with my mom, where I got paid in food to run the register. What I remember most about it is I got to spend time with my mom otherwise I never got to see her.
