Stephanie's Story
School
The teacher who inspired me the most was Drucie McRae. I never seemed to like any of the things we read in her class and then years later I became a teacher for a while and ended up teaching the exact same type of literature! Truly, though, she taught me to write topic sentences.
Sure, I would do high school over again, but I'm afraid I would end up getting into trouble...because I know now what I didn't know then...and I would put that knowledge to USE!
Some of my happiest memories from high school are from playing soccer and just being with the soccer team,...Expand for more
whether it be practice, games, or hanging out afterwards. The coach, the girls, or sometimes the guys' team were lots of fun to be around and to work with towards common goals.
Now that I think about it, another 'adult' who worked with me a good bit and helped out when I was injured was Coach Falen. He got a bad rap because he could be really gruff, but once when I was sick, he made an appt for me to go to the doctor without me knowing about it. People like him made me want to go to school.
Biggest crush....now c'mon! I had one like every other week...okay, month!
