Stephanie's Story
Life
Upon graduating from high school, I left for the University of Kentucky where I got both my bachelor's and master's degrees in animal science, with an emphasis on horses. In August, 1993, I married my husband Donavon and a month later we moved to Colorado. We spent the next 6 1/2 years living in the Denver-metro area. When Donavon received a job offer in Frederick, MD we made the move back to the East Coast. We found a small farm just off the Potomac just south of Hagerstown.

he human kind. I do have lots of animals - 4 horses, 2 goats, 1 dog and 3 cats (they keep showing up). We have about 7 acres and have worked very hard building a small horse farm. Horses are a huge part of my life...they are my passion, profession, hobby, etc. I am self-employed, which is wonderful. I can't imagine working in a structured environment again. My first children's book will be published in the fall of 2008.
