Stephany's Story
After graduating high school, I went to the job field and decided to skip college. I did not know what I wanted to do so I never saw a reason to waste money until I figured it out. I discovered international logistics and worked for years at a company in Des Plaines, IL. I loved working there and I learned a lot about business, supply chains, international shipments, and working with US Customs and Boarder Protection.
In September 2005, my father passed away and I decided the small town of Spring Grove was not so small anymore. Although I still own the house and land there, I needed to get out. I moved down to the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas and lived for about two years. I built a house in a small town north of Fort Worth, but it never felt like home. I ended up leasing it out and moved to New Orleans in September of 2007.
I absolutely love it here! HIGHLY recommend everyone to...Expand for more
come check it out. It is nothing like the coverage after Hurricane Katrina made it out to be. The city is so beautiful here. It is rich in culture, music, art, history, food, and architecture. This city was around long before even the United States was born. It was a pirate town! Of course, besides just that, it has Bourbon Street! It is a party 365 days a year. Now I am looking at buying a house down in the Garden District, which is only a hop from the streetcar that takes you to the French Quarter.
I work from home from a company I started working for in Texas. They did not want me to quit when I moved and they offered me to stay on remotely. Since I work from home, I decided to finally go to college. I take online classes for the University of Phoenix. Although it would have been easier to go to college right out of high school, I would not trade the adventure life has been so far.
