Stephen (Steve)'s Story
Life...Read down the list of dates.....
Aug. 2001: These thirty years went by too fast! After S.U., I worked in NYC about the same time I met my wife Nancy. We moved back to Syracuse and started a family. Now we have three children...our eldest son & two daughters are now 16, 15 & 11. I've been with my current position for nearly 19 years... traveling throughout NYS & PA. Add in the 3 dogs, soccer & volleyball and life is never dull. I was a teacher in the local school systems for a while, but now I get to continue with my art work while employed in the sales & marketing end of my industry. I thank God everyday for all that he has blessed us with. My family and friends are healthy...what more can you ask for! May 2004: Eldest Son completed Freshman year at Siena and eldest daughter going to Univ of Buffalo this Fall. Youngest daughter is going to be Freshman in HS this Fall. All on High Honors and scholarships. I'm starting to feel a little older! My wife disagrees. God Bless All!
11/06/05: Youngest daughter is in 10th Grade HS; the eldest daughter is at University of Buffalo; & eldest Son is traveling Europe while attending Amsterdam University. How they grow up so fast...we miss them around the house.
7/14/2010: WOW! 5 years more have passed. Oldest Son has graduated from Syracuse University Law & was Executive Moot Court President (Honor Society). He takes the Bar this month. Has a job with a Syracuse firm already! Oldest Daughter gets married on July 30th...this month! She's got a year before getting her NP and works at the emergency room at St. Joe's Hospital. Youngest daughter is a Junior at Ithaca College studying to be a music teacher. She plays the trombone! Nancy & I are rediscovering life after the kids leave the nest. We are so fortunate for all the family, friends and love. We've been married 28 years now. My parents (60 years anniversary-9/30/10), are still healthy and m...Expand for more
y sister and brothers are well. We're having another Green Lakes State Park outing after Aug 1st this year, just like always. Many old HS friends and loved ones are attending. It's an annual event. Hope to see you all at the 2011 WG reunion in June.
8/30/2011: In a few days, we are going to the WG 40th HS Class Reunion party at McNamara's in Camillus on September 3rd!
July 2018: Long time since I logged into this site!!! I'm turning 65 this year...no retirement in sight. I have too many businesses to operate. My children have children of their own now. We have four grandchildren and another on the way! My oldest (son) is a partner in a local law firm and he has a son, too. My middle child (daughter) is a nurse practitioner and has two girls; my youngest (daughter) is a school teacher and has a daughter, too. My parents are both going on 89 years old this year and are fine and still live in Camillus. My wife and I still enjoy a lot of camping and baby sitting. Life is good. Being an old fart is good, too!!!! Ha-ha
March 2021....My wife & I now have SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN! They range from 7 years old to 18 months old. Four girls and three boys. My Mother & Father will turn 92 this year. They still live home in Camillus. All of my children live somewhere in Onondaga County. We're glad of that because especially the past 12 months of COVID19 still allowed us all to gather as a family on birthdays and holidays. I lost my brother David back in November 2018. He died in St. Joe's Hospital from complications during a Gall Blatter operation; he was only 59. We're still planning many camping trips this summer of 2021. We've been working on items connected to the WG Class of 1971 50th Reunion Party. Maybe set for September 18th at the Camillus Elks Club. Lots to do still. Our three children have done well; a lawyer, a NP and a school teacher. Must have been something in the water! HA-ha. Cheers to all!
