MEMORIES OF THE WONDER YEARS " 👉 During The Mid 1960's Through The Mid 1980's, I Can Perfectly Remember Growing Up On The Streets Of The Sunset District, While Attending Public Schools In The City Of San Francisco. This Was The Time When Most Inner City Kids Were Generally Raised By Hardworking Middle Class Parents. 👉 These Were The Wonder Years, When Most Neighborhood Kids Enjoyed Bicycle Riding On The Dirt Roads At Golden Gate Park, During Their Days Off From School. This Was A Time When Most Inner City Kids Enjoyed All The Fun House Attractions, And Roller Coaster Rides, While Visiting Playland At The Beach During Their School Breaks. A Time When Most Neighborhood Kids Enjoyed Catching Rainbow Trout, While Fishing At Lake Merced During Their Summertime Vacations. This Was The Time Period When Home Video Games, And X-Boxes, Did Not Exist. 👉 These Were The Radio Days, When Most Sports Fans Could Listen To The Captivating Voice Of Lon Simmons, Calling All The Home Games For The San Francisco Giants, Live From Candlestick Park. A Time When The Price Of Admission To Attend A Live San Francisco Giants Home Game Was Only $3..50.. A Time When Most Neighborhood Kids Could Obtain A Free Autographed Baseball From One Of Their Favorite Giants Players, Baseball Superstars Like Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry, And Bobby Bonds. Father Of The Greatest Home Run Hitter Of All Time, Namely Barry Bonds. This Was The Time When Professional Baseball Was Played On A Field Of Natural Grass, Not Artificial Turf. This Was The Time When Major League Baseball Was Played For The Love Of The Game, Not For The Love Of Money. 👉 This Was A Special Time Period, When Most Middle-Income Parents Could Afford The Costs Of A Two Bedroom Apartment, And They Could Build Up Their Savings Towards The Purchase Of A Medium Sized Home. This Was The Time Period, When Most Ordinary Middle-Income Parents Could Afford A Medium Sized Home In San Francisco, Including The Cost Of Making Necessary Repairs To Their Homes. This Was The Time Period When Most Middle-Income Parents Could Afford To Raise Their Families. In A Medium Sized Home, Within A Middle-Class Neighborhood, Without The Burden Of High Mortgage Rates, Which The Victims Of Predatory Money Lenders Can't Afford Today. 👉 This Was The Time Period, When Most Middle-Income Parents Had Taught Their Kids The Genuine Benefits Of Receiving A Good Education. This Was A Significant time Period, When Most Middle-Income Parents Had Taught Their Kids The Moral Difference Between Right From Wrong. When Kids Knew The Difference Between Good Deeds And Bad Deeds. This Was A Moment In Time, When Most Middle-Income Parents Could Safely Send Their Kids To Public Schools, Aboard Public Transportation, Without The Present Day Fear Of Random Gun Violence. 👉 This Was A Unique Time Period, When The City Of San Francisco Was Home To Countless Artists That Have Influenced The Music Recording Industry. This Was The Time When Most Residents In The City Of San Francisco, Could Actually Enjoy Watching This Classic Hollywood Television Series Within The Privacy And Comfort Of Their Homes, Without The Present Day Burden Of Having To Pay A Cable Bill. 👉 This Was The Golden Age For Youth Football, When The City's P.A.L. Mariners, Seahawks, Raiders, Eagles, And Trojans, Were In The Bantam Weight Division. Each One Of These Pop Warner Football Teams Played A 10 Game Regular Season Schedule. The Top Two Teams From Each Division Would Participate In The City's Prestigious Joe Lacey Bowl. Following The End Of The Football Season, The City's Top Pop Warner Football Teams Would Have Their Annual Awards Banquet. Sometimes Featuring Charlie Krueger From The San Francisco 49ers., As The Guest Host Of The Awards Presentation Ceremony, Sadly, The City's Old P.A.L. Pop Warner Football League Had Disbanded, And Eventually Folded Into The History Books During The 1976 Football Season. 👉 This Was The Time Period, When Public School Teachers, And Their Students, Would All Take Pride In Pledging Allegiance To The American Flag, Regardless Of Their Own Political Affiliation, Religious Preference, National Origin, Gender, Or Social Economical Status., This Was A Time When All Public Schools Sponsored Field Trips For Their Teachers And Students.
