Taught Music in Indianapolis area for four years.
Went to Japan as missionaries in 1990.
1990-1994 - Worked in the Kobe area in three churches (returned to the US 3 weeks before the Kobe earthquake!).
1994-1996 - Studied for an MA in Missions & Evangelism at ATS.
1996-1999 - Taught Cultural Anthropology at Tokyo Biblical Seminary.
Returned to ATS to start Ph.D. program in July 1999.
2000 - Beth started working on an MA in Counseling and did her internship at the Asbury College Co...Expand for more

2002 - I completed my coursework in August and passed my dissertation defense on December 16.
2003 - March 2 - April 22: Field Reserch Trip to Asia. I interviewed and observed at various mission training centers in Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
Moved back to Japan July 29, 2003
Our family moved back to Japan where Beth is the new Guidance Counselor at Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ), a school for the children of missionaries. I continued my research and writing my disseration.
The fall was spent interviewing Japanese missionaries and completing my research as well as starting my writing. I turned everything in by the middle of Feburary 2004.
2004 - March 29
I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation, with major revisions. After spending a month in Wilmore to prepare and defend, I needed to return to Wilmore again to finish my revisions in order to graduate this year. I was in the US from April 9 - May 24.
May 22, 2004 - I graduated from ATS with a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies!!
2004-2008 - Taught various courses at Tokyo Biblical Seminary.
2008 August - returned to Kentucky for home-assignment, traveling to churches to share about the Lord's ministry in Japan.
