Stephen's Story
A few random things about me:
I lived in the Los Angeles vicinity for nearly 24 years, always amused by the sheer weirdness of the culture clash that is El Lay. After that, 16 years near Chicago and, other than the painful winters, It was a pretty great place to live. Although I returned to Michigan in 2017, if I do get nostalgic or homesick for anywhere, it's for Southern California . . . and all of its magnificent oddity!
Retired now, I spent the career-side of my adult life in sales positions, predominantly in the office automation and information technology industry. I love the process of persuading people to consider and choose my products/services on a one-to-one basis but, just like many folks, I absolutely loathe having products of dubious ...Expand for more
value shoved in my face by mass-media advertisers.
Never raised biological offspring because I've been preoccupied trying to get my inner child to behave. Without success, I might add . . . thank goodness!
I have a nicely functioning left wrist manufactured from surgical coral, Teflon, titanium, bone fragments and other organic remnants of my original one. I love how medical science continually perfects such things and very glad I didn't have the same accident 25 years before I did.
I've had some terrific dogs and love the loyalty, affection, selflessness and trainability they provide but in recent years, I've come to appreciate the audacity of cats just a little. Humans continue to puzzle me, however.
