Stephen's Story
After high school, I went to the University of Evansville and majored in Electrical Engineering. For those who remember, that was the school where the basketball team was killed in a plane crash in 1977. I was there at the time and lost a couple of friends in that accident.
I graduated and worked in the Evansville area until 1983, when I took a job in Indianapolis. I've been here ever since. I've been blessed to be able to live a pretty good life. Work has enabled me to do a lot of traveling over the years. I've made it back to Warren for the last two Class of 74 reunions and had a great time at each one. There's a group of us that have managed to stay in touch and visit with each other pretty regularly. I was married once, but we divorced after five years. Right now I'm kinda split on that issue. On the one hand, I like the idea of having someone in my corner to build a life with. On the other, I'm not sure I want to go through all the _______ (fill in the blank) to try to get to that point!

get, the more I appreciate my younger days in Warren and at WWR. It wasn't perfect, but it did prepare me for just about all the curves life will throw your way. Although I've been fortunate enough to acquire some very, very good friends along life's journey, there's always something special about hooking up with someone from your home, someone you grew up with. After all, there's only a few people in the world that understand the significance of WWR football or the Reserve-Harding rivalry of the 70's. Not everyone was fortunate enough to grow up in a place and time when you could have high school basement parties and have a good time without having to call the police. And I've never met anyone outside of Warren who organized themselves into Freshmen, Sophmore, Junior and Senior clubs during high school to raise money for thier Senior After Prom.
