Stephen's Story
Life
After graduating l joined the navy and was stationed in Athens Greece, where l stayed for four years (very nice). l then worked at General Tire until 1980. Fell in love in Europe and have been living in Germany since then. Speak German, and starting slowly with Italian. Working presently as adviser in surface-handling for the Kettler Firm. The largest city in my area is Dortmund. Amsterdam is about an hours drive from here. The closest beach is in The Netherlands, but its not near as nice as for example Myrtle Beach S. C. l do miss the carolina sunshine. The weather in Europe is generally wet and cool, with long winters and the mid-sommer temperatures seldom reach the 90° mark. t about every winter. lt´s just an hours drive from her house to the ski resort Davos. l have two grand children, the second of which was born a month ago (July 2008). She was named Luna, because the parents couldn´t decide what to call her until she was born, and it just happened to be full moon. Beautiful child with a name that fits.
Spring 2017.............Things have changed....l am now retired, have seven grand children, and have had to change my hobbies, from skiing, tennis, mountan climbing, to riding bicycle, extreme walking and couch pressing. I am getting a German pension, a small american pension, and we are travelling through Norway, Sweden, Finnland......would love to see the pyramids in Egypt, but the americans are not welcome anymore in these areas.
