Stephen's Story
Life
Where have I been since graduating from high school?
Off to Texas for basic training in the Air Force, then Colorado for tech training.
Some great times in Vegas at Nellis Air Force Base and then a trip across the big pond
to Southeast Asia to join that little "police action" called Viet Nam.
Back to Albuquerque for some more school, a job, a marriage, a kid, and then to Texas for
a better job. That's 1966 to 1979 in a nutshell.
The summer of 1980, HOT!!!!. A second kid came along and life continued.
Long hours at Texas Instruments in 1985. Go to work in the dark, come home in the dark
from January through August. Designing a 4 megabit DRAM chip. Then computing changed

A long career as a computer nerd with some time in Phoenix, then back to Texas and some
crosscountry travel with Sprint. Kids grew up and now I have 2 granddaughters and the economy
tanked so I sort of retired. Now the summer of 2011 and 32 years in Texas...... I'm to old for this
kind of heat.
Visited the Balloon Fiesta in 2012 with granddaughters in tow. Grandpa and grandma kept up as best they could.
The trip took the girls away from home so mommy could have number 3. A boy this time.
Went up to Red River and the grandkids got to watch the deer wander through town.
Still working part time in 2016.
Looking forward to the Reunion in September!
